Looks like a good deal to me with the lifetime warranty included. I saw the same deal before but price was not accurate.

So corded? edit:, I reread and I guess you mean a model that doesn't include the batteries and is tool only.

I don't really need the ratchet in this deal, but I want it

I actually just posted this deal as well. Really want the 3/8 ratchet instead of the 1/2. The only difference is a difference of about 10-20 foot pounds and the 1/2 has a slower rpm. That extended neck is very appealing as well. Such a tough call, but this is as low as is gets from my research.

I think he's referring to something more like this, extended and cordless, tool only - https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../323141890

I was thinking the same thing but I got the 1/2 in today and it's a lot smaller than I was thinking it's perfect. This one should cover all my needs and has up to 60 ft lbs. Just pair it with a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter and you are set!

Is this the older version of the R8721 Subcompact brushless which has 250 ft lbs?

The photos show the mechanic is using this tool in areas with plenty of space in front where a normal, non-right angle tool would do just fine. So what is the point?

A powered ratchet with 250 ft-lbs of torque would instantly break your wrist when you pulled the trigger. You must be thinking of an impact wrench.

This is a powered ratchet. You use it just like any other ratchet wrench to break a fastener free and then pull the trigger to quickly zip it off the rest of the way.

All I can say is you should see them in person to decide. I use a 3/8 more often than any other size ratchet for good reason. Many times a 1/2 inch just wouldn't fit or make sense. I have used a mikita 3/8 before and it fit the bill for working under the hood of cars and jet skis
