Legion dimensions: 0.84 by 12.9 by 9.9 inches
G14 weight: 3.3 pounds
Legion weight: 3.85 pounds
The Legion does have a slightly larger screen though which is nice.
G14 has all aluminum build, the Legion has a plastic interior.
G14 has G-Sync while Legion doesn't.
G14 has significantly better speakers.
Is that worth an extra $300? Up to the buyer, just pointing out the differences. I'd say no but it's close.
All that said, a few months ago the Legion was $1050 at BB and Slickdeals had a $150 eBay coupon and to my surprise it worked on the Legion making it $900. At a $450 price difference that makes going with the Legion a LOT easier, but I haven't seen that since. I'm a little mad at myself for not jumping on it.

G14 has G-Sync while Legion doesn't. That's pretty important if you're used to it and with the lower framerate scenarios you're inevitably going to get with this resolution and graphics card.

I don't know of any pros the Legion has over the G14 but the size and weight alone are pretty significant differences. Is that worth an extra $300? Up to the buyer, just pointing out the differences.

All of these points are correct and valid. One thing worth nothing is the Legion screen is bigger, hence the overall size difference you mentioned.
I love the G14, I've had one in the past. Just my personal opinion that the Legion is a better overall value, even considering the points you mentioned.
